Nein, an die Wand damit. Zeitzeuge, fertig!
Hinter diesem Grill verbarg sich ein kräftiger V8, der das 4-sitzige
Cabriolet, einst bei Bedarf, auf 210 km/h Spitzengeschwindigkeit brachte.
In Kombination mit der sahnig schaltenden 4-Gang-Automatik kommt
man schon ins Träumen. Vielleicht war dies der Grund, warum ein Pizzabote,
mit seinem Renault Twingo, an der roten Ampel stehend, beim Bremsen half.
Die Pizza wurde kalt, und das 500.000,- € teure Cabriolet kochte hoch.
 
Nun ist er zur Ruhe gekommen. Auf einer Stahlplatte, die rosten soll.
Chapper fertigte eine Plexiglashaube an, die mit Schnellverschlüssen
aus dem Motorsport unkompliziert abgenommen werden darf, um das Werk
zu gießen, zu besprühen – am besten mit CHAPPER-LIQUID! (Salzlösung)
Nichts ist so beständig wie der Wandel.

Only 1,232 units of this radiator grille, handcrafted for the S-Class Cabriolet,
were produced by the mid-1970s.
So for Chapper, recycling it was not an option!
Restore it instead?

No – straight to the wall. A witness of its time, done!
Behind this grille once sat a powerful V8, powering the 4-seater cabriolet,
capable of reaching a top speed of 210 km/h when needed.
Combined with its silky-smooth 4-speed automatic transmission—
you can already start dreaming.
Perhaps that’s why a pizza delivery guy, driving his Renault Twingo,
helped brake at a red light.
The pizza got cold, and the €500,000 luxury cabriolet overheated.
 
Now it has found peace. Mounted on a steel plate meant to rust.
Chapper created a plexiglass cover for it,
equipped with quick-release latches from motorsports,
so the piece can be easily removed, watered, sprayed—
ideally with CHAPPER-LIQUID! (salt solution).
Nothing is more constant than change.
